What is the “Hero Syndrome”? It is an unconscious need to be needed, appreciated or valued that disguises itself as a good thing, but threatens to make you bitter and to overextend you.

Bela Padilla and JC Santos already proved their box-office appeal as a pair last year in the film “100 Tula Para Kay Stella” with the same director, Jason Paul Laxamana. The three of them reunited for this project that took place in Arayat, Pampanga and all the way to the beautiful island of Lanai, Hawaii.

The movie provided glimpse of mental health issues, self pain afflicting for Kai (JC) as he process his recent romantic break-up, and Lani (Bela) haunted by her physical abuse and was deprived of refuge from her own family.  Her struggles to address her own issues was by fixing others. The latter took chance of saving the former, since she thought that by saving him could make her feel better and may assure her that Kai could reciprocate the favor.

The film interpreted the necessity of forgiveness, not for the sake of the person who wronged you but instead for you to finally move on.

The movie has brilliant story, and both Bela and JC are your perfect love team who does make a lot of sense!
